Are you sick of feeling twice your age?
Are you achy, tired and stiff? Or has your job made you chair-shaped?
Are you tired of dragging through your day — or of dosing yourself with industrialstrength coffee just so you can focus?
If that sounds familiar, I’m here to tell you there’s hope.
I was on a fast-track to burnout too — and I was a competitive athlete! But yoga changed all that for me. And it will work for you too.
Yoga will completely transform your life by doing 3 crucial things:
- Shutting off chronic pain that robs you of energy and makes even simple routine tasks a trial
- Increasing your flexibility without spending hours and hours of boring stretching
- Turning back the clock on aging and making you feeling younger — by a decade — in just 4 weeks.
Yoga will even burn fat. Yes, that’s been scientifically proven!
And that’s what we’re all about here at Kris Fondran’s Shapeshifter Yoga.
A clear, no nonsense approach to the oldest health and wellness method on the planet.
An approach based on Exercise Physiology.
An approach where every pose has a purpose.
My fast-track no-nonsense approach will give you exactly the results you’re looking for — pain-free movement, agility, energy and focus.
I like to think of it as wellness for busy people who don’t have a lot of time.
Want to know why my approach is different from the typical yoga class down the street?
First of all, there’s no funny clothes and no chanting “omm”…
I took a Master’s degree in Exercise Science. And I applied that knowledge to the “tried and tested” ancient wisdom of yoga.
I refined my approach on myself and my students. And the result was something I’m proud to share with you.

So who am I, anyway? And what’s my story?
Meet Kris Fondran
I guess you could say “athletics” was wired into me as a kid…
When I wasn’t at the rink for a figure skating session you’d fine me running everywhere.
I even ran my way into marathon training by the time I was 20. But an overuse injury from always “being on the run” and not taking the time to stretch ended my career by age 22.
Of course I didn’t let those limitations stop me! I just channelled them into something else…
It was the early 1990’s and the “rollerblade” craze was just taking off. So I transformed my ice skating and endurance running background into competitive inline skating, a sport that combined the best of both.
My “running for miles” days may be a thing of the past, but I could certainly skate. And that seemed to fill the void that running left behind.
During this time I also graduated college with a degree in Elementary Education. I continued to follow my athletic passions, becoming an ice skating coach, a strength and conditioning coach, and a middle school track coach.
I also became a certified inline skating instructor, eventually working my way up to directorship of the Inline Certification Program.
I was a pretty good coach and my athletes did well. But seeing the physical and mental stresses that these young competitors were under made me realize the importance of flexibility training.
I wanted to help them find a way to deal with these stresses, but I knew I had to first advance my own understanding of stress and flexibility before I could be of service to them.
And that’s where yoga came into the picture…
I guess you could say that yoga had always intrigued me. In the beginning I saw it as just another way to increase my physical flexibility while reducing mental and emotional stress. But once I began a dedicated practice, the personal benefits that I experienced quickly sold me on the merits of following yoga as a way of life.
My journey into yoga began 12 years ago.
Since then I’ve attended more courses and retreats than I can possibly count. And each has enriched my understanding of yoga and given me tools to live a healthier and more peaceful life.
I also took a more “hardcore” approach to my training. I applied a strict Western scientific lens to this ancient Eastern discipline.
And I learned something that surprised me…
While conducting a research study on the benefits of yoga for my Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology, I witnessed first hand how a simple 10-minute twice a day practice of yoga could have a profound effect, both physically and mentally, even on total beginners.
Not one or two hours — just 10 minutes!
Even the busiest professional has time for that.
This study inspired me to create the Mobile Yoga Workout, a fresh approach to getting fit that combined the benefits of yoga and inline skating.
It was a pretty bit hit. And it was even mentioned in such major publications as Shape, Fitness, Girls Life and Cosmopolitan!
You can probably imagine how thrilled I was to share the benefits of yoga with the world.
But I still wasn’t able to reach everyone through print. And that’s when I began to explore the world of online coaching…
The internet opened up so many new possibilities, and it gave me a way to bring quality teaching right into the offices and homes of folks who are too busy to attend a class or workshop.
So what about now?
These days I spend a lot of time coaching my online clients and followers through Kris Fondran’s Shapeshifter Yoga program.
And still I do live events too, of course! I continue to present seminars and workshops on yoga and inline skating around the world, with groups in Slovenia, Germany, Holland, China, Singapore, Canada and all over the United States.
I hope one day to see you there!
